When at Last

When at last I stand before my Maker, He’ll not ask me just how great I was
He’ll not ask me if my name was honored in some hall of fame
Or if I knew the sound of men’s applause
But I know He'll welcome me; He will smile and welcome me

And I will not be afraid when I stand before His throne
For a promise He has made to claim me as His own
He will smile and welcome me; He will smile and welcome me

When at last I stand before my Maker; when my time on earth is said and done
May this life reflect His grace and when I look upon His face
May I hear Him say to me, “Well done.”
He will smile and welcome me; He will smile and welcome me

And I will not be ashamed when I see Him face to face
For the one who called my name and saved me by His grace
He will smile and welcome me; He will smile and welcome me
